The Art Oracle

As we boldly step into the month of March let’s make it our mantra to do the following:

• March into local galleries and admire what is on exhibition.
• March into your local art studio and sign up for creative courses
• March confidently into new challenges
• March into the Lennox Head Library and borrow books about art.

What’s on

The Lennox Art Collective – Guest Exhibitions at the Lennox Art Collective include:

Michelle Hartnett, Photographer, 1-14 March.
‘Natural Focus: a collection of beach and botanicals’

‘Raw Essence – a celebration of women’ Day, join us in a celebration of local women: raw, authentic, strong, diverse.

The Northern Rivers Community Gallery (NRCG)
The NRCG will be launching four exciting new exhibitions this month, opening Wednesday 13 March until 5 May.

‘To Be Seen’ by Karryn Argus
At a time when the selfie dominates personal photography and portrays the self as always happy and adventurous, even if the subject feels otherwise. (Karryn Argus Self Portrait above).

‘Coastal Living: A New Perspective’ by Sheree Nelson
Sheree Nelson’s photos are a representation of the North Coast, with the intention of guiding the viewer to take a deeper look and discover the content from a new perspective.

‘Ions’ by  Ben Bugden
Ben Bugden’s work is a somewhat abstract and deeply personal exploration of the infinite moods, beauty and healing power of the ocean.

‘Beyond the Image’ by Richard Tabaka
Beyond the Image presents four transformations of one original artifact. These four transformations are the manifestation of invisible, inherent neglected site of digital registration.
