The Lismore Colour Explosion Fun Run community event will be held on Sunday September 23 in the picturesque countryside of Woodlawn. This is a brand new event celebrating the beauty of our natural environment here on the Northern Rivers and to give back to the local community, especially after the floods in our region last year. It’s all about being outside having fun with friends and family and getting plastered with colour along the way!
Funds raised will go to Headspace Lismore, Yodifee House orphanage in Cambodia and St John’s College, Woodlawn Parents & Friends Association.
“You don’t have to be an athlete and run the 3km all-terrain course….you can skip, walk or crawl it if you like…but you do need to be registered to go on the track.” Louise Somerville, event media spokesperson said.
“Participants can register individually or as teams of 8 to 12. Early bird tickets are for sale now on our website at www.lismorecolourexplosionfunrun.com.au but be quick as numbers are limited and prices will go up in September! If you want to be involved but don’t want to run there is a volunteer button on our website to join in the fun.”
The course meanders through the picturesque countryside behind St John’s College, Woodlawn and will have colour powder points along the course. Be prepared to be doused with colour!
There will be free parking, a DJ and stage for the crowd with local band Plenko, food and coffee stalls, jumping castles and giant slide, BBQ, canteen, Headspace Lismore chill out zone, the rural fire brigade and community services with a colour explosion finale. Everyone is welcome.
Find the venue on Google maps at 203 Woodlawn Road, Woodlawn NSW 2480.
