A Lennox Head family is this week still mourning the loss of their beautiful cat Sparkles, who ran away last month.
Sparkles went missing on Wednesday 17th August and Katrina Crowhurst and her girls have been looking for her ever since.
Says Katrina, ‘The girls have been incredibly upset but are still hoping that someone out there might be feeding her or may have seen her. Sparkles’ collar may have come off and so people might think she is a stray.’
‘Sparkles is super-friendly and has a really loud purr. She originally came from Darwin as a 4 month old kitten from the pound, but has lived in Lennox Head for many years.’
‘Sparkles has never been known to stray, but on 17th August she became extremely frightened due to extreme noise, crashing and banging sounds from workman on a nearby work site. She took off when frightened, and we hope she may have taken shelter in someone else’s yard. The workmen were in close proximity with daily noise until 9 September.’
‘Sparkles is a female tortoiseshell cat who is microchipped and desexed. She is of slight build and is seven years old. She was last seen wearing a red collar with bell, although collar may have come off (like it has before when climbing trees). Lennox Head Vet know her well.’
Please help this family find their lovely, gorgeous cat ‘Sparkles’. This would be the best present these girls could ever have, as they love her so much.
