VIEW stands for the Voice, Interest, and Education of Women. Through VIEW women are given the opportunity to meet regularly with other women from all walks of life, forming lasting friendships. The Lennox Head Day VIEW Club is a strong and vibrant local club which meets at a luncheon on the first Monday of each month at Club Lennox.
At each monthly meeting we invite a motivating speaker to keep us informed of relevant community events. The guest speaker for the month of May was Jules Allen, of Lennox Head, a MasterChef contestant, foster mother and charity worker. Jules illuminated her vision to create an understanding of the impact good food can have on people, not just physically but emotionally.
A Fashion Parade will be held on Friday June 27th for all eight VIEW Clubs in the region. Members, family, friends and the general public are all welcome. This will take place at Ballina RSL Club Auditorium from 10 am and the cost will be $25 which includes lunch.
A ‘Springtime on the Mountain Tour’, visiting the open gardens at Mount Tambourine will take place on 26th and 27th September. Overnight accommodation will be at Eagle Heights Mountain Resort and will include dinner, bed and breakfast.
In the last year VIEW members raised more than $1 million to support more than 985 children through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program.
We are keen to welcome new members and enquiries can be directed to President Dawn Sword on 6687 4328.
