The Club Lennox Committee made the brave decision to renovate the old club house before reopening.
It has now had a spectacular internal facelift which has been coordinated by local Santa Fe Motel manager (and qualified interior designer) Corliss Robb. She has coordinated a team of volunteers who have worked incredibly hard for the past month to get the interior looking contemporary and clean. Now with a new colour scheme, carpet and coat of paint it looks amazing.
A new club manager has been appointed, and the licenses are in the process of being issued. Once that has been done, the doors can be thrown open.
But not before a bit of a clean up.
This Friday and Saturday from 10am until 5pm Corliss and her team would really love some help to clean up the club house.
They need help with vacuum cleaning, dusting, washing windows (window cleaning washers would be good), all glasses to be washed up, tables and chairs can be placed back in the club when they are cleaned, some sort of furnishing layout can occur, bar all cleaned, bistro to be cleaned, office to be cleaned.
If you’ve been meaning to give a hand in the amazing rebirth of this community asset, now is the time.
Bring, your mop, bucket, vacuum cleaner, window cleaning equipment and cleaning rags, and be ready to get stuck in for a good cause.
Please pass this onto any other people who may be able to help. Assistance for say 2 or 3 hours would be greatly appreciated.
