Late last month Ballina Council voted not to ban the flouridation of our water supply. In an overwhelming 8 to 2
majority, councillors voted to maintain their position on flouridation which means that one day we will have flouride added to our mainstream water.
Councillors Jeff Johnson and Keith Williams voted against the motion.
Keith Williams spoke at length against the move, while Dr Brendan White, president of the Far North Coast division of the Australian Dental Association, spoke about the benefitts of flouridation.
