On Sunday 23 April, from 9.30 to 11.30 am, the important issue of mental health will be discussed in an interactive workshop at Park Lane Theatre, Lennox Community Centre.
Dubbed the ‘Movement Revolution Man’, Lennox local and personal trainer Trent Chapman has teamed up with NRL Mental Health Ambassador and Director of Mental Health Movement, Dan Hunt formerly of the St George Illawarra Dragons, to bring you a free community event talking everything Mental Health.
In this first instalment of the three part series, Dan will share his story of battling bipolar, living in a family with mental illness, and the pressures that came with being a professional NRL athlete. Trent talks about using physical exercise as the number one tool for managing such illnesses, and gives advice on how to make that your go-to during tough times.
Statistics tell us that fifty percent of the Australian population will go through poor mental health at some stage in their life, and four out of five know someone that will.
This is an event not to be missed. The Mental Health Matters Workshop commences at 9.30am and is an all ages event (adult themes may arise). Register for this free event online at communityspaces.com.au.
This event is proudly presented by Mental Health Matters, Movement Functional Fitness, and Park Lane Theatre.
