Don’t Forget Firies Fundraiser This Sunday

BURNT TOAST

Sunday 26 June from 12 noon at Club Lennox.

A fundraiser to raise a ‘toast’ to our firies for all their hard work. Without them Lennox really could be ‘Toast’. Show your support and thanks to our volunteers at the Lennox Head Rural Fire Brigade for all their ongoing hard work protecting our town.

We will be having a sausage sizzle, barefoot bowls, $5 schooners of Stone and Wood Pacific Ale, music and Stone & Wood bar on the green, raffles, auction and RFS recruitment info and much more.

All of the proceeds on the day and from the Go Fund Me page (closing after the event), will go to the Lennox RFS to help them with whatever they desperately need.

Any person, club, team, group or business who wants to support by giving a small gift for the BURNT TOAST mega raffle table, please drop off at North Coast Holiday Parks Lennox Head.

‘There are some amazing people in the community who are contributing their time, skills, products to this event, to the raffle table and to the Go Fund Me page’.

More details on this event are on the Facebook event page via Club Lennox

Don’t forget, apart from funds the thing these guys and gals need the most is volunteers.

‘We need to get to call out to the community to step up and participate, there were over 70 fires burning in NSW that needed fighting at the same time is ours. It was so awesome that virtually every brigade in the Far North Coast spanning from Tweed to Wardell and out the back of Mullum came to save our town. That was over 50 firefighters, plus the air support. We wouldn’t be here without them all, but we as a town need to take more responsibility in taking part in protecting the lives, homes and businesses of Lennox Head. The culture of volunteering cannot weaken, we cannot allow that to happen here’.
