Local Government Elections This Saturday

On Saturday 10 September 2016, the election of Mayor and Councillors will take place in Ballina Shire, and voting is compulsory.

Councillor candidates stand for A, B or C Ward localities, and electors vote for candidates for the Ward in which they live in, as well as a Mayor to represent the entire Ballina Shire.

What Ward locality do I live in?

A Ward includes Ballina Island, West Ballina, Ballina Heights and parts of East Ballina.

B Ward includes parts of East Ballina, Lennox Head, Skennars Head and surrounds

C Ward includes Alstonville, Wollongbar, Wardell and surrounds.

How can I vote before Council Election Day – Saturday 10 September?

Pre-poll voting is available at 1/3-5 Clark Street, Ballina (Clark Street Industrial Estate opposite McDonalds). 

Hours for pre-polling:

Monday-Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm
Friday 9 September 8.30am – 6.00pm
Saturday 9.00am – 5.00pm
Closed on Sunday
