Wed 22 July– Working at Boulder Beach and meeting at the Coast Road Car-park 8.30am.

Lennox Head Playgroup – Lennox Head Community and Cultural Centre (Children’s Area)

Every Tuesday during the school term 9.30-11.30am for 0-6 years of age and Fridays 9.30am-11.30am for 2-6 years of age.

A place where parents/carers and children (0 – 6yrs) can come together in a relaxed and friendly environment. Playgroup gives children an opportunity to play, make friends and develop skills, all while having fun. Playgroup provides parents/carers with an opportunity to meet other parents. Special Saturday Story-time for National Tree Day – Lennox Head Library

Sat 25 July – From 10am there will be stories, songs and craft based on ‘growing things’. This will be to celebrate 20 years of National Tree Day.

Wed 22 July– Get Quizzed Trivia from 7pm (registrations from 6.30pm).  All questions come with a visual and involve everything from pick the song in the video clip, to pick the sound all the way to spot the difference.

Thurs 23 July— Jam Night from 8pm. The legendary Lennox Jam night has been running for many years and brings musicians in from all around the Northern Rivers areas and beyond. Come on down, bring your instrument. All are welcome who are looking to gain experience or just want to mingle with musicians.

Northern Rivers Japanese Textiles Retreat – Lennox Head Community Centre

Sat 26 July – Mon 28 July: Come and join expert, Jane MacDonald, for 3 days of inspirational patchwork, Sashiko, and Boro techniques. Jane’s expertise spans many years of teaching around Australia and internationally. From 9.30am -4pm each day and cost is $375 (excl;udes kit) and includes tuition, lunch and morning/afternoon tea. Lifeball – Lennox Head Community & Cultural Centre

Tues 28 July – Every Tuesday at 9.30am for the over 50’s. Lifeball is a game designed to keep people over 50 fit and healthy. The Northern Rivers is an inspirational place for artists. It’s beaches, blue water, flowing rivers, rolling hills and rugged ranges provide endless subjects. It’s skies, from sunlit dawns to vermillion sunsets, provide dramatic backdrops, each new day brings new inspiration. Brian Cook and Peter Mortimore’s works are inspired by the colour and sumptuous beauty of the Northern Rivers.

Breast Cancer Support Group – Kentwell Community Hall, Ballina

Thurs 23 July – 10am-11.30am. For any woman, or friends and family, diagnosed with, or recovering from, breast cancer. Held on the 1st Thursday of the month the meeting includes a sharing of morning tea and information, followed by a guest speaker and a relaxation session.

Opera at the Channon

Sun 26 JulyPrivate bus from Lennox Head to Opera at the Channon. Secure a seat on the 20 seater bus at $20 per head. Book Week Displays – Lennox Head Library

Mon 10 Aug – The library will be putting up book week displays. Come and see the books nominated for the Children’s Book Week Awards.

Reading Hour and Toy Sleepover – Lennox Head Library

Tues 18 Aug – National reading hour will be from 6-7pm. The library is closed to people but toys are welcome for a sleepover and story session. Drop your toy off Mon/Tues and pick up a book to read at home during reading hour. Collect your toy, photo and certificate later in the week.

Nimbin Fun Run – Start and Finish at Nimbin Showground
