One hundred and twenty women attended a Fashion Parade luncheon in the auditorium at the Ballina RSL Club with members coming from all of the VIEW Clubs in the area along with family and friends. The morning was organised by request from members after last year’s very successful event. The fashions were again supplied by Portofino Fashions who present parades for various clubs and ladies organisations with an interesting affordable fashion range that is not available in the general retail market.
Nine ladies from the Lennox Head Club had fun acting as the models and showing items from the collection after which, in the time before lunch, there was the opportunity to try on and purchase clothes and to mingle and to catch up with friends.
The morning concluded with a lunch and a raffle which contributed to the more than one thousand dollars raised by the morning and donated to The Smith Family Learning for Life programs which supports the education of disadvantaged Australian children.
The next major event on The Lennox Head VIEW Club’s diary is a two night, three day trip to the ‘Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers’ visiting some of the magnificent floral displays in the parks and gardens of the city with the opportunity to visit other historic sights or for those looking for some retail therapy Margaret Street precinct comprises the modern shopping centres Grand Central and Garden Town, along with on street boutique shopping, cafes and cinemas.
