Congratulations continue to flow for Year 10 elective Japanese student, Tim Eddy, who has been awarded First Prize for his essay entered in the 31st Australia-Japan Relations Essay Contest. This exciting news was sent by Masayuki Aoki, the Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of Japan in Canberra last week. Tim’s wrote about the difficulties facing youth in both Japan and Australia which involved a great deal of research and a very obvious talent to report on his findings and express his opinions on the topic.
Tim will be presented with his award, which includes a return air ticket to Japan, a 7 day Japan Rail Pass and accommodation in Tokyo, in Brisbane. Tim who has a great affinity with and empathy for Japan, is an ‘A’ grade Japanese language student and a very worthy winner.
